Buhari’s FCT N20Million Mansion Signals He Lived Above His Means, As Corrupt Danjuma’s N15Million Gift Rocks His Purported Integrity–RepublicReporters
New York [RR] ABUJA–According to multiple sources corrupt T.Y. Danjuma secretly paid N15Million down payment for ex-military dictator’s property in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, even though he knew that TY Danjuma was one of looters of national Oil-Revnue and Gas, having criminally acquired oil-Bloc during erratic-military dictatorship under illiterate General Sani Abacha.
Meanwhile, experts knowledgeable with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Real Estate property analysts say the property in question is worth a whopping N20Million that is paid annually Republic Reporters has learned.

Political commentator on Nigeria and world issues such as Mazi Dominic Ogbonna said: “Every Nigerian President mints his own do-nothing, overnight billionaires. Goodluck Jonathan is minting his own billionaires as we speak. Obasanjo minted Otedola and Andy Uba and Dangote. And Abacha minted, among others, James Ibori and Theophillus Danjuma”, and many other discredited filthy billionaires.
He queried: “So how exactly did Danjuma become rich? Danjuma became wealthy by becoming an Abacha insider and loyalist. For his loyalty to the murderous dictator, Abacha rewarded Danjuma with an Oil block in far-away Port Harcourt!
Sparking a controversy, he remarked: “Now: Did Danjuma invest one kobo into his oil block? NEVER! (2.) Did Danjuma extract or produce one barrel of crude oil from his oil block? NEVER!
(3.) Did he engage in any kind of Economic Productivity using his oil block? NEVER! (4.) Did he advance the science of Petroleum Exploration in our nation in any way? NEVER!!!
(5.) Did Danjuma create jobs or employment for any Nigerian graduate using his oil block? NEVER!!! (6.) Did he contribute to Economic productivity in any way? NEVER!
“How then did such a man become an overnight billionaire? How did he get to this position where he can donate 20 reckless millions without thinking twice?
He aded, “Theophillus Danjuma is a perfect example of everything that went wrong with Nigeria! He is a typical Nigerian do-nothing, political, Aso-Rock minted billionaire! He seats back in his house, creates no jobs or products, does absolutely nothing to advance Economic productivity, but nevertheless becomes an overnight billionaire by simply renting out an oil well in seating somebody’s else’s backyard!
“Danjuma is exactly the kind of parasitic imaginary “business man” that brought Nigeria to its knees. Quoting Emeka Obi, he said: “TY Danjuma is the problem with Nigeria whereby a few members of the ruling elite appropriate the nation’s resources and wealth to themselves at the expense of over 100 million Nigerians who are struggling to make ends meet. This is the problem with the Nigerian system: a single man makes so much money not because he is hardworking or deserving, but because he is merely connected to the powers that be. Danjuma was given an oil bloc as a gift. It is preposterous. The $100 million Danjuma has given to the foundation is not his money; it is Nigeria’s money, and it is absurd that he pretends like he’s some sort of philanthropist.”
And then fired off multiple questions about Buhari’s integrity. “So here is the question for all of us: Would Buhari do what Danjuma did? If the answer is NO, on moral grounds, why then is it OK for Buhari to accept Danjuma’s loot as a gift? Am I missing something here? Can someone please hold my hand? “Or is it a question, once again, of pretending to see no evil, and pretending to hear no evil? How can you say that you don’t eat meat, and then turn around to share meat for others, using your teeth?
In conclusion, he said: “Seriously, what is INTEGRITY in the Nigerian context? What exactly is Integrity? Is it OK for me to become Babangida or Obasanjo’s bag man, as long as I am not stealing the money directly myself?
Respected commentators and General Buhari’s suppporters fired back immediately with mixed reactions lit up the internet.
Ayo Ojutalayo: “Dominic, why ridicule yourself in an attempt to undermine Buhari’s integrity? Were you not one of the people defending the individual who was accused of stealing his client’s money? That individual is your hero, while Buhari is my hero. I am sure you are as proud of your hero as I am of mine. Go on ridiculing yourself..
Publisher, RepublicReporters, Carlisle UMUNNA said: “You cannot fight corruption with Corruption, only with righteousness and good deeds, anything else is a fraud, if Buhari is living above his means and a crook like TY Danjuma paid N15Million for him as down payment.. something is wrong with Buhari camp who claims integrity at every turn”, he said.
Idowu Bobo: “Dominic: You are making mountain out of a mole hill. You are demonstrating an inappropriate outrage. If you claim to be a man of integrity, you should be celebrating a Nigerian such as Buhari. You reminded me of my realtor in Ohio state who after we’ve closed the buying of the house, now engaged me in a discussion about what is Nigerians feeling about Bill Clinton (this was after the Monica Lewisnski), my wife and I responded that they love him. My wife now said, this was a man who was Attorney General of his state for eight years, Governor for 12 years, president for 8 years and could not boast of a plot of land. That the Mayor (Chairman) of LG in our country will own half of the city.
“To see an equivalent story in a Nigerian who served as governor of the 5 NE states, Minister of Petroleum, Head of states, Chairman PTF in corrupt Nigerian governmental structure and do not have a plot of land in Abuja and could not afford to pay a rent of N20m should be celebrated. His peers before and after him are richer than gods.
Peter Opara: “During the presidential campaigns in which Buhari was involved, even in the latest campaign that netter Nigeria a division of bumbling incompetents, subsidy frauds etc, a host of moneybags, came calling on Buhari. They had bags of money to spare; they liked Buhari and felt that only he could rescue Nigeria. They wanted to assist him financially, but they had strings attached to their assistance. Once they mute their string whether verbalized, winked or nodded, Buhari never had a qualm saying to them, thanks but I do not want your help. There was nothing during the campaigns he ran, from fueling his campaign vehicles and such; they were all donations to Buhari’s effort by friends and admirers. Buhari is that man other than the one and only Ikemba, in the entire Nigeria who can claim universal love of his people. Can someone mention any other? There is no other. So, if you are snickering that misfortune befell Buhari, you got to be an abject fool.
Igboka Uwadiegwu: “Oga Dom,Could that explain too why these creeps were desperate to make it to Aso Rock ? Had they succeeded, we would have had a horrible B-series remake of poor OBJ stepping into Aso Rock and stepping out STINKINGLY rich.
“Providence has saved us from yet another NIGHTMARE.
Abba: “Peter Opara, They don’t make them like Buhari these days. Buhari was unique. He was, by far, heads and shoulders above his contemporaries…and I must add that he was, simply, too good for Nigeria. No one is as honest, disciplined, accountable, incorruptible, humble, sincere, principled, trustworthy, exemplary and patriotic as Buhari.
“How many former Heads of State (with possible exception of Gowon and Shagari) can rightly be tagged as incorruptible? I am not surprised that Buhari has no house in Abuja; I am not surprised that he has only two (very modest) houses here on planet earth (one in Daura and another in Kaduna….I have been to one of the houses; and I must say even I can do better than that).
“It is Nigeria’s loss for not allowing this honest and immensely capable man to lead. It is Nigeria’s loss that Nigerians chose a blatantly mediocre and incompetent person (simply because of ethnic/religious reasons) instead. There is a reason why Buhari commands such rock star popularity with the masses. They see in him one of them. They see in him a person that is absolutely free of corruption.
Dominic Ogbonna: “If the General can not afford 20 Million, why was he living above his means to begin with? If the story is true then it is a sign, in my own opinion, of fiscal irresponsibility. Money management is an important skill, and every man should be able to manage his money well. Inability to manage the funds coming to your household is a vice, not a virtue. Anybody who can not manage their own personal finances well enough should not be seeking to manage an entire Economy! How resources are managed is the difference between Dubai and Nigeria.
Hussein Iaminuhadejia: “:Gen Muhammadu Buhari {RTD} (former president of Nigeria) has been ejected from his Abuja’s resident following his inability to pay the N 20 million rent demanded by his land lord.
“House no 11 queen Elizabeth street, Asokoro district Abuja.
Gen. Ishola Williams: “The Vintage DO,You exude some form of Independent thinking, Wisdom and Idealism in most of your postings. Let respond to you in a simple way.
I am sure you know that we are not lliving in an ideal world. Therefore,I hear people say that -”You cannot become Millionaire by being a Sunday School Teacher” -”Behind every million there is usually a crime” Please tell me anywhere in the world today where you can win any Presidential election without the financial contributions of the Business persons of different shades and characters who will also expect Favours. Most of the Rich Foundations in the world have questionable financial dead and living Benefactors. They have covered and covering up with their giving back to to the Society.
“I don’t know what positions you have held in the Nigerian environment and how you have overcome the challenges and the temptations. If you did and from the Questions you pose, you cannot win any elections in Nigeria. So maybe you can be in the same Boat with the General who has been tested.
“Therefore, if a highly disciplined General Buhari as a presidential candidate can ask for financial assistance from a willing Colleague who is not a Sunday School Teacher and has never been openly indicted, what is wrong with that?
“Continue and I hope one day your dreams for an Ideal Nigeria will come true.”, he said.
RepublicReporters gathered that Congress For Progressive Change (CPC) and Buhari desperately wanted to make it into into Aso-Rock to take their turn in looting the national treasuries, looting which has become Nigerian culture as we know it.
