I bet Mr. Ubabukoh, the so called aide to Governor Obi, reacted negatively based on the misinformation he gleaned from Mazi Odera and co. Well, he has scored a zero for not even investigating properly before rushing to press. With such an aide you wonder the quality of the assistance he is rendering to Gov Obi.

For the record, my name is Azuoma Anugom and not Azuma Anugwom and we are raising funds for the completion of Zik’s mausoleum which was started by the government since 14 years ago but abandoned by the contractors. Nobody is using Zik’s name to commit fraud—rather we are HONORING Zik by making sure that his legacy is not forgotten and his final resting place is not in ruins.

Btw, why hasn’t Mr. Ubabukoh done something about this abandoned mausoleum? Surely leaving Zik’s resting place in ruins while the Anambra State government passed the bucks to the federal government, and the federal government through its agents cream off millions but has nothing to show for it; is not only dishonorable but a clear indication of indifference on the path of both government. I was waiting for the governor’s aide to advise us about their action towards the completion of the mausoleum but he was only huffing and puffing and threatening fire and brimstones!! Btw, if Gov Obi wants to take over this Zik Mausoleum project, we will gladly hand over the Diaspora donations to him and cheer him on. We don’t care who does it so long as we see result. In fact our primary objective is to facilitate the completion of this mausoleum through the collaboration of all stakeholders.

Finally, thank you Mazi Akubueze for your humorous take on this. I pray it doesn’t take us diaspora Nigerians 8 years to redeem all the pledges. And certainly not 250 years to raise the requisite funds for this project? 250 years?!? Haba!!

I think the reaction of thisgovernor’s aide is regrettable and beneath the expectations of a person of this office. I do not think he employed any form of investigation before this false allegation. While I think that the cyber restoration venture has no chance of success just as many other appeals of our people, it is no reason for a government official to be hoplessly unfocused and ill informed of what he was talking about.
The reasons I believe that the appeal and the restoration venture will fail is first and foremost, our people; Africans and Nigerians are not the giving type, they would rather receive than give. The project needs so much money to even make a dent that it will take the Nigerian cyber loud mouths 250 years to raise half the money needed to work on that project. I am sure many of the loud keyboarders who initiated the project will have needed their own museloneum, is that what you call it? by then. Their great great great grand children will not be using yahoo then even if they were signed up and interested in the first place, which I strongly doubt. They will indeed be using advanced hollogram if that one is not outdated too.
Having said that, out of over 10,000 dollars that has been pledged for this venturr, only about 900 dollars has been stated to have been collected. It will take about 8 years to collect all of that and even at that, collectors will have to send out 3,000 reminder e-mails to the dead beat pledgees. and if HEN and TONY Egbe pledged a dime, it will take for ever and they still will not buldge. The rest of them will simply find 2 million reasons to not have paid theirs and half of them will demand 30,000 signatories to protect the 1 dollar they pledged.
That’s just the way it is with the African. To find out if he is dead, wave a dollar on his face and if he does not raise his hands or open his mouth to catch the money, go ahead and pronounce him dead even if you are not a physician.

Waooooooo i said there is motive ,motive and motive for this fraud,Azuoma who is suppose to be the founder of the project ,but Aluko craftly inserted her name at number 35 ..
ALUKO IS NUMBER 1 and Azuoma is number 35 ……….
which means when somebody is reading the donors ,he will place Aluko first and by the time the person gets to 20 he will scroll down and end the page.
